Privacy policy
This is a translation for convenience. The German version (Datenschutzerklärung) is the legally binding one.
1. Controller
Falk Hähner (a private individual), Else-Lang-Str. 10, 50858 Köln, Germany. E-mail: info@falkhaehner.de.
2. In short
This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics or tracking, and loads nothing from third parties: fonts and images come from the website's own server. I process personal data when you join the alpha waitlist, and to the extent that delivering a website technically requires it.
3. Hosting and delivery
The website and the game's servers run on gh0stcloud, a hosting platform operated by gh0stservice GmbH, Else-Lang-Str. 10, 50858 Köln, in data centres in Germany (Falkenstein). gh0stservice GmbH is the hosting provider, not the provider of the game: it processes the data described here on my behalf and on my instructions (Art. 28 GDPR). Downloads of the game are served from object storage in Germany (Nuremberg) that gh0stservice GmbH provides. When you open a page or download the game, your browser transmits technical data such as your IP address, the address requested, the time and your browser's identification. I process this to deliver the page and to keep the service secure (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The website's own web server writes no access log; the platform's network components may process this data briefly for delivery and protection against attacks. It is not used to identify you and not combined with other data.
4. The alpha waitlist
If you join the waitlist, I store your e-mail address, the language of the page you signed up on, the version of the consent text you agreed to, and the times you signed up, confirmed, were invited and redeemed your invite. I do not store your IP address or your name with it.
I use your address to confirm it (double opt-in), to send you an invite key for the alpha when a wave opens, and to tell you when the game reaches its next phase. I send no other newsletter.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), which you confirm through the link in the confirmation e-mail. You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR), through the link in every e-mail or by writing to me.
An address that is not confirmed is deleted once its confirmation link has expired. A confirmed entry is kept until you leave the waitlist or the invite programme for the alpha and beta ends. If you leave, your entry is deleted immediately.
5. Sending e-mail
Confirmation and invite e-mails are sent through the mail server of my e-mail provider. They contain your address and the links to confirm or to leave, and nothing else about you.
6. The game
If you create an account in the game, what is stored and why is explained in the terms shown when you first sign in. You can export and delete your account's data from the game at any time.
7. Cookies and browser storage
This website uses no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
8. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). To exercise them, write to info@falkhaehner.de.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the one responsible for me: Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen, Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf.
